What is your email id? Is it like sweetangel_143@xyz.com or hidude121@abc.com? If with such email id’s you are applying for a job then you are actually not presenting yourself as professionals.

There are numerous such minute aspects, which make the employer or interviewer make perceptions and assume that the candidate might be unprofessional and imperfect for the job vacancy. In this blog, we will tell you about all those small but important points in your resume that would work negative for you during a job interview. CV presentation and mentioned content matters a lot in selection or rejection of the candidate, so make sure that you do not have to suffer because of just the resume.

1. Random email ids:
As mentioned above, the unprofessional or cute looking email ids are not apt for making career. In a research, it has been seen that there are people, who do have email ids with cute names or their family names or simply any random names. An ideal way is to have a professional id with a name that you use professionally.

2. Not proofreading resumes:
Do you re-read the resume thoroughly after making it? If not, then you might get into trouble during an interview. The first thing with which the interviewer would get to know about you is the resume. If there would be errors in it (be it typing errors or factual errors), then that would be a negative point for you. There are several people, who submit their resumes having numerous typos & misspellings.

Well, a good way to check the resume is by asking a family or friend to read and review it. But for factual details like dates, etc. you would have to cautious and see that there isn’t any error in it.

3. Using pictures:
According to resume experts, it is not actually a good idea to attach a picture with CV along with it. You can see this in several job resume samples online as well that there is hardly any picture attached to it. Resume experts believe that the by attaching pictures one gives reasons to make prejudices on the basis of appearance. In fact, due to this reason, there are some HR departments which have simply discarded the resumes with the photographs to avoid any discrimination based on physical appearance.
